~Ledges ~
Stalwart monoliths brace themselves against the elements.
Ledges and rocks stand firm and brave, like the brow of a proud man.
Time worn and craggy, their faces are like that of the ancients, or a wise and old soul.
Basalt spires rise up as if to top one another like the castles of great kings.
Their cathedral walls seem cut and placed as if by plan in these now silent monasteries.
The wind carries the mournful echoes of their slowly withering greatness.
