~ Satin ~
Water falls like satin over well rounded hips and gracefully bent knees.
It clings like fabric that allows only a slight
unveiling of what lies beneath.
The water’s path has dug deeply into it's banks,
and soft inroads are made that allow it to permeate all that it touches.
Deep passages hold the secret of many timeless mysteries and treasures, while the shallows dance and ripple over upright objects in its path, as if to tease, and play, and invoke a response.
A log rests across, and the stream cascades over it like a bridal veil, billowing and foaming at the bottom into a pile
of white lace.
It moves on like the train of a bride in what seems to
be a triumphant procession.
Water falls like satin past soft curves of shoulders
and slides racing down a slender back, hesitating only briefly at a narrow waist before plunging on to where it will perform its next elegant dance.
